Our Commitment
Jude Greenearth strives to ensure that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We are committed to providing a website that is usable by as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnification software, and alternative input devices.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Do
We take the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our website:
- We use automated testing tools, including WAVE by WebAIM and axe by Deque, to regularly scan our pages for accessibility issues
- We conduct manual accessibility reviews of our pages and interactive components
- We continuously monitor and improve the accessibility of our site as we add new content and features
- We train our development team on web accessibility best practices
Accessibility Features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, menus) are fully operable using a keyboard alone
- Skip-to-content link — a skip navigation link allows keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and go directly to the main content
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines on all interactive elements so keyboard users always know where they are on the page
- Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy (h1 through h6), landmarks (main, nav, footer), and ARIA attributes for dynamic content
- Form labels — all form fields have associated labels, either visible or available to assistive technologies
- Image alt text — images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements
- Reduced motion support — animations and transitions are automatically disabled for users who prefer reduced motion in their system settings
- Responsive design — content is usable at various zoom levels and screen sizes, including mobile devices
- Error announcements — form errors are announced to screen readers using ARIA live regions
- Dialog accessibility — modal dialogs (menus, image lightbox) include proper ARIA roles, can be dismissed with the Escape key, and trap focus appropriately
Conformance Status
We believe this website is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Substantially conformant” means that some content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to identify and resolve any remaining issues.
Our website is built on modern web standards (HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript) and is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including:
- JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver screen readers
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest two versions)
- iOS VoiceOver and Android TalkBack
